ABOUT THE COMPOSITION
Different Shapes of Lights
The work is written with only one note A in different octaves that span across the cello and the piano register. The title of the work - Different Shapes of Lights - is inspired by the ending scene of Soma, a survival horror game that explores the meaning of the existence of humankind. Compositionally, the title describes how one note is interpreted in so many different ways in this music composition. - Hong-Da Chin
