Student Success Stories

The Illinois Board of Examiners has released the 2017 CPA Exam pass rates for 2017, with the average pass rate for students from Illinois colleges and universities in 2017 placed at 49.73 percent. Western Illinois University students earned a 70.67 percent pass rate overall for all sections of the exam taken, which leads all public universities in Illinois. Read more.

A team of Western Illinois University School of Agriculture students has finished 18th in the CME Group Trading Challenge, a four-week electronic trading competition that involves 240 higher education institutions from 35 countries. Nearly 600 teams competed in the 2017 event. Read more.

WIU’s Board of Trustees recently voted to keep tuition, fees, room and meal plans level for 2018-19. In addition, the Cost Guarantee program will continue to ensure students will pay the same rate for tuition, fees, room and meal plan for their four years of continuous enrollment. Read more.
