UUB Brings Eric O'Shea to Campus

Eric O'SheaThe Comedy Committee brings Comedian, Eric O’Shea as their first offering for the spring semester on Wednesday, February 4. O’Shea has been doing stand up in the wonderful, exciting world of the "college market" for 13 years. He won the "2007 National College Comedian of the Year," an honor voted on by more than 5000 campuses nationwide. He keeps busy traveling during the year averaging more than 70+ schools, along with corporate shows, festivals, and theaters. As a result, he can oddly place every highway on a blank U.S. map! Eric is always trying to put a fun spin on things, while not losing sight of the most important thing--empathy for others. He is so thankful to all that support him on his journey, stays humble, and in his words, gets better looking every year!

Join the University Union Board (UUB), February 4, 8:00 p.m., in the Murray Street Cafe of the University Union for this entertaining event.

Resident Assistants Help Those in Need

RA Council Hosts Turkey DinnerThe RA Council recently held their seventh annual Turkey Dinner at the Macomb Salvation Army on November 19 with a record breaking number of 145 community members, who were served a thanksgiving meal. The group of students who participated in the activity were ecstatic with the turnout because they broke last year’s record of 93 meals being served!

There were several RAs who spent countless hours shopping, cooking in Tanner Hall and serving the food for this event. RAs prepared nine 22-pound turkeys, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, and rolls; and for desert, pumpkin and apple pies.  RA Council Hosts Turkey Dinner

The students who contributed to the success of this event learned about how to properly cook a turkey as well as how to accurately prepare meals for more than 100 people. The RA Council organizes this event with the help of Sodexo Dining Services. Thanks to all who helped in making this annual event an even bigger and better community service project!
