President Goldfarb Addresses Cash Flow Crisis

As many of you recently read in a letter from President Goldfarb, the State of Illinois is facing what some are calling the worst financial crisis in its history. Western Illinois University, along with other state institutions and agencies, is significantly affected by the delay in state reimbursements. President Al Goldfarb is regularly communicating with constituencies about our cash flow situation. He recognizes that the collective strength of our thousands of alumni and friends throughout the state of Illinois can have an enormous impact.

Hutinger Gift Supports Visiting Artists Fund at WIU through 2013

Longtime arts supporter, activist and humanitarian, Patricia Hutinger recently made a commitment to support the Western Illinois University art department's Visiting Artist Fund through 2013. Hutinger's gift is made in honor of her son, Scott Hutinger, who passed away in June 2007.

WIU Making Seven Chicago-Area Stops in April

Join the WIU Alumni Association for seven exciting stops in the Chicago-area this April! The fun starts on Friday, April 9 with a Complimentary Social at The Art Institute of Chicago! On Saturday, April 10, join us for the 3rd Annual All Leatherneck Reunion AND Leatherneck Football Spring Scrimmage. Other events include the Homewood Alumni & Friends Social on Monday, April 19, the Libertyville Alumni & Friends Social on Tuesday, April 20, the LaGrange Alumni & Friends Social on Wednesday, April 21 and the Arlington Heights Alumni & Friends Social on Thursday, April 22. Finally, we will be in Forest Park on Friday, April 23 for the All Greek Reunion.
