WIU Unveils Newly Designed Website

New WIU website logoWestern Illinois University's Macomb campus website, including the Alumni Association webpage, has a new look. As of June 3, visitors have had a new site to peruse and explore. In fact, "Explore WIU" is one of the new "key" areas that WIU's redesigned site has to offer for prospective students, students' families, faculty and personnel.

The "Explore WIU" button, located in the upper right corner, is among the many new features and information sections on the site. Frequent site visitors, however, should not worry about the loss of information from or key links on the "old" site. Western's new site still offers plenty of information about WIU (including links to admissions; academics; alumni; athletics; student life, and frequently used WIU web tools as STARS, WesternOnline, e-mail, Western's A-Z index and more).

A Message From Your Alumni Association

WIU Credit Card logoJuly 1, 2010 marks the beginning of a new fiscal year at Western Illinois University and with it your Alumni Association looks forward to some exciting announcements throughout the month.

You read in the June issue of RockeNews and the Western News about the NEW WIU credit card program. We are days away from announcing our new partner, a Midwest bank that understands the needs and wants of Western Illinois University Alumni and Friends. We are confident any and all who choose the NEW WIU card will be amazed with the personal rewards opportunities, superior customer service staffed by representatives located right here in the Midwest, and around the clock security protection you will receive with your new card. And, if you choose the NEW WIU card, you will be supporting your alma mater in many ways - helping to fund student scholarships, the Western News publication, Alumni and Friends events around the country AND your University.

We thank you in advance for choosing to carry the NEW WIU credit card and supporting Western. We look forward to unveiling it in the next few weeks, and be sure to check our website for the latest!

Purple & Gold Auction

WIU Athletics logoThe Western Illinois Department of Intercollegiate Athletics' 21st Annual Purple & Gold Gala Benefit Auction has been scheduled for Saturday, August 28, inside Western Hall.

Now in its 21st year, the Purple & Gold Auction has become a catalyst in the fundraising efforts for the 20 Division I Leatherneck Athletics teams.
