Kathy Miller photoGraduate museum studies students Lacy Bettcher (Dubuque, IA), Anya Bishop (Cresco, IA), Megan Crowley (Buffalo, NY), Kristall Laursen (Wheatland, IA), and Kathy Miller (Moline), along with museum studies director Ann Rowson Love, are currently attending The International Conference on the Inclusive Museum in Istanbul Turkey. The conference began June 29 and runs through July 2.

The students will present a panel, "Constructivist Museum Practices Across Departments" based on research projects they conducted at the Figge Art Museum last semester. Ann will also present a session, "Facilitating Inclusive Curating: When Museum and Community Curators Collaborate." After the conference, students will conduct independent studies at museums in Turkey, Greece, and Spain. Anya and Kristall will stay in Europe through the fall semester to intern at the museums at Cambridge University in Cambridge, UK.

The Summer 2010 Textbook Buyback will take place July 28-29 on the WIU Quad Cities Campus. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, July 28:  9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, July 29:  9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The WIU Quad Cities Campus Writing Center Hours for Summer 2010 are as follows:

Monday & Tuesday: 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday
& Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Closed on Friday
