College of Education and Human Services Busy Semester for COEHSHappy Fall to you! We are in the middle of a very busy semester and hope you can take some time to visit us at some upcoming events! October 8 - Horn Field Campus' Harvest Moon on the Prairie. This will be an aMAZEing evening full of food, entertainment, the signature Corn Maze and stargazing. Details and registration can be found here. October 19 - COEHS representatives will be attending the Peoria Alumni and Friends Event at WICKED! Register here. October 25 - The 4th Annual Cheryl J. Cohen lecture will be held in the University Union's Sandburg Theater beginning at 7:00 p.m. This year's lecture, "Understanding the Psychological Story of Sport Injury," will be delivered by Diane Wiese-Bjornstal from the University of Minnesota. She is the Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Kinesiology in the College of Education and Human Development at UMN and has done extensive writing and research in sport and exercise psychology. November 4 - LEJA alumni event at Maggie Miley's (126 E. Beaufort, Normal, IL 61761) from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. Appetizers will be provided as well as a cash bar. RSVP for the event by emailing Jennie Hemingway, JA-Hemingway@wiu.edu. Retired and current faculty will be on-hand to reminisce and update you on what is new in LEJA. The next day, join the department as they cheer on the Fighting Leathernecks as they take on the ISU Redbirds. Alumni Programs is hosting a pregame social and you can register here.
