Jones Named Development Director

Michael Jones, assistant director of alumni programs at Western Illinois University, has been appointed director of development for Libraries, the Centennial Honors College and the School of Distance Learning, International Studies and Outreach at Western, effective Oct. 1, according to Rick Carter, executive director of the School of Distance Learning, International Studies and Outreach.

"Michael's experience working with WIU alumni, and the many contacts he has made over the years working in both alumni programs and development initiatives, will serve him well as the director of development for Libraries, the Honors College and the School of Distance Learning, International Studies and Outreach," Carter said. "His familiarity with, and affinity for, Western will allow him to build upon the excellent work that former development director Stephanie Sellers started."
