Once Daily Mail Service to WIU-Macomb Campus Begins July 1
Beginning Thursday, July 1, Western Illinois University will change its mail delivery services to once daily mail service to locations on its Macomb campus.
Buildings along or south of Murray Street (C. T. Vivian Way) will receive mail service each weekday morning beginning at approximately 10 a.m., following U.S. Postal Service delivery to the campus mailroom. A final mail pickup at the dropbox inside the northeast entrance of Sherman Hall will be completed each weekday at 3:30 p.m.
All other buildings on the Macomb campus will receive mail service each weekday afternoon beginning at approximately 1 p.m.
According to Vice President for Administrative Services Jackie Thompson, the University's current fiscal situation prompted the change.

DPS to Host Open House September 9
Document and Publication Services (DPS) will host an open house for the University community from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, to showcase its new four-color offset printing press and high-volume folder-inserter system for automated mailings.
During the event, DPS will provide demonstrations of the new equipment, distribute samples of work done on the press, and serve refreshments.
DPS will host the open house in the DPS & Property Accounting and Redistribution Center (PARC) building on the north end of Western Drive, north of Boyer Stadium and the Physical Plant building.
As always, visitors and client parking in the unmetered lots on the west and north sides of the DPS & PARC building does not require a hang tag.

Office Supplies Store Joins DPS
Document and Publication Services (DPS) announces the addition of the Office Supplies Store to our department effective Thursday, February 14, 2008. Dana Bray, along with DPS staff, will continue to provide the full array of services that were previously available. You may continue to call 298-1000 for your office supply needs, or you may place office supplies orders online.
Postage Rates Change May 12
Effective May 12, 2008, the US Postal Service will change its postage rates. The cost of a first class postage stamp for mailing a standard size piece of up to 1 ounce will increase from $0.41 to $0.42.
At this time, DPS estimates that non-profit rates will increase or decrease $0.01 to $0.02 per piece, depending on the nature of the corresponding mailing.
