Military Science

SFC Icenogle joined the Army in June 1987, from Macomb, IL.  He attended Basic training and AIT at Fort Benning, GA in 1987, and was a awarded the MOS  of 11B  Infantry.  He graduated from the Primary Non-commissioned Officers Course, the Basic Non-commissioned Officers Course, and also graduated from the Advanced Non-commissioned Officers Course in Fort Benning.  He has served in numerous infantry positions from RTO, Saw Gunner, Machine Gunner, Dragon Gunner, Team Leader and Squad Leader.  He has served 3 tours in the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) to include a deployment to Desert Shield/Storm, the 10th Mountain Division with 2 deployments to Panama and a deployment to Haiti.  A tour with the 1/508 Airborne Infantry in Vicenza, Italy, was highlighted with a deployment to Brazzaville, Congo to evacuate American civilians from Zaire.  SFC Icenogle served as a sight commander during a Multi-National Forces and Observer mission in Sinai, Egypt in 1999-2000.  After returning from Egypt, he served as a Drill Sergeant in C 2/10 Infantry from June of 2000 until June 2003.  His last assignment was with V Corps in Heidelberg, were he served as the G3 Plans NCOIC.  He is currently an ROTC instructor
