2000 – 08/2006: 6250th US Army Hospital, Fort Lewis, WA. Served as Personnel Administrator for a 525 member Army Reserve Hospital, which provided Personnel Healthcare Support to Madigan Army Medical Center and the Western Region Medical Command. Managed and supervised 7 full-time staff and 10 part time employees; responsible for recruitment, hiring, placement and staff development. Directed all aspects of hospital personnel and administrative systems. Briefed the Commander and Executive Officer regarding health services human resource management and administrative actions. Planned, developed, and directed administrative management activities to include: distribution, publications, correspondence, policy interpretation, records and files management. Responsible for maintenance of personnel records, personnel recruiting, reassignments, retention, promotions, eliminations, awards and decorations. Exercised staff supervision over the administrative section to include personnel data base management, strength management, unit administration, and facilities management.
1997 - 1999: 455th Field Hospital, Providence, RI Logistics Officer. Served as the Health Services Materiel Officer for a US Army Hospital. Responsible for logistical support and medical supply services. Planned and directed activities of personnel that were responsible for the receipt, storage and issue of all classes of supply. Ensured service support functions, advised the commander on logistical matters and unit mission capabilities. Additional duties included: Property Management, Key Custodian, High Priority Certifying Official, full-time Food Service Officer, and Physical Security Officer.
Monitored medical equipment warranties and equipment calibration requirements.
1995 – 1997: 1st Cavalry Division, Division Medical Operations Center, Fort Hood, TX. Division Plans & Operations / Medical Logistics Officer. Assisted the Chief of Medical Operations in coordinating Health Service Support for a 24K person division. Responsible for providing administrative supervision for the staffing of a Troop Medical Clinic servicing an average of 6K patients per month. Monitored the Division Medical Supply Office and provided staff supervision to include management of a $650K medical supply budget. Planned, coordinated and prioritized medical logistics and medical equipment maintenance within the division.
