Areas of Emphasis

Strategic Planning
Western's strategic plan, Higher Values in Higher Education, drives the future of the University. This office helps coordinate efforts and reports progress in achieving the goals of the strategic plan.

Master Planning
Master Planning serves to coordinate the physical nature of the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses to ensure that the future potential of the University remains at the forefront and that each new physical enhancement helps achieve this potential.

Technology Planning
Keeping up with technology is a formidable task as the field expands almost daily. Consequently, technology planning is an important element of Western's overall strategic planning efforts so that a special emphasis can be placed on both current and future campus technological needs.

Budget Office
The Budget Office oversees the allocation and reporting of all University funding, from state funding to tuition/fees and beyond, and helps the University meet its current and future funding priorities.

Institutional Research
Institutional Research is the starting point for most statistical analyses regarding Western's students, faculty, and staff. On both local and global scales, this office works to support sound, data-driven decision making.
