University computing systems undergo regular maintenance each Saturday morning from 12:01am to 6:01am. Maintenance is important to keep the systems fully operational during the primary times of use. As this time frame has been shown to have only minimal use, it has been chosen for this important regular task. During this time, service may be limited.

As a Western student, faculty, or staff member, you have the opportunity to take advantage of special pricing discounts of 5-25% that have been arranged with Apple and Dell. Our Campus Computer Store is located in the Digital Commons on the lower level of the Malpass Library. Open Monday - Friday, from 8:00am - 4:30pm, you will have the opportunity to view and try out the latest in technology from Apple and Dell, with trained staff standing by to assist you in making your decision. Currently all purchases are made online directly through Apple and Dell, but works are in the way to bring a true retail computer store to campus in the near future. Stay tuned for further announcements on this exciting expanded computer offering, as well as special discount pricing.
Effective January 1, 2008, campus technology units were reorganized to provide a more streamlined and functional effort with enhanced user support support. This has results in two primary units on the Macomb campus and a support unit on the Quad Cities campus.
