Ms. Boussaard joined the Department of Military Science in May 2015. She has been employed by Western Illinois University since July 2000. She has served as office support staff in University Housing and Dining, Educational and Interdisciplinary Studies, and, most recently as office manager, in the College of Arts and Sciences' Dean's Office. Prior to this, she worked two years (1998-2000) at Illinois State University after a four-year period (1994-1998) with Western Illinois University.

Early on she worked at McDonnell Douglas Automation Company in St. Louis. This experience took her to The Netherlands for seven years where she was employed temporarily at the Peace Palace and then worked full time at the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal. She and her husband (now deceased) along with their daughter returned to the United States in 1991.

Ms. Boussaard enjoys traveling and spending time with her family - especially her granddaughter.
