SFC(R) Egelhoff joined the Military Science Department in July 2010. He retired from active duty after serving 20 years with the United States Army.
SFC(R) Egelhoff held both leadership and staff positions ranging from Team Leader to Operations NCO in several different Military Police companies. He has been stationed at various duty locations throughout his active duty career to include West Point, Darmstadt, GE, Fort Riley, KS, Fort Wainwright, AK, Fort Detrick, MD, and Fort Drum, NY. He also served as a U.S. Army Recruiter for the Kansas City Recruiting Battalion, Liberty Recruiting Company for four years.
His final duty assignment was Fort Drum, NY where he served with the 543rd and 563rd Military Police Companies as both a Platoon Sergeant and Operations NCO. He deployed to Iraq in support Operation Iraqi Freedom on two separate occasions. He served in Iraq from November 2006 through February 2008 and again from February 2009 through February 2010.
SFC(R) Egelhoff’s awards and honors include two Bronze Star Medals, two Meritorious Service Medals, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, NATO Medal, the Recruiter Badge (Gold), and the U.S. Army Recruiter Ring. He was also inducted into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club in 2000. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from American Military University in June 2010.
SFC(R) Egelhoff is married to the former Kristine Franko of Hutchinson, KS and has one daughter and one son.
