Polling The Nations

Database trial through September 30th 2003

WIU affiliated users on the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses may participate in a free trial of the Polling The Nations database until September 30.

Polling the Nations is an online database of public opinion polls containing the full text of 500,000 questions and responses from 14,000 surveys conducted from 1986 through the present in the U.S. and 100 other countries. All of the principal national polls -- including major networks, newspapers, and magazines are included (e.g., Gallup, Harris, Roper, ABC, CBS, NBC, Zogby).

Updated monthly, Polling the Nations is the online version of the American Public Opinion Index. Each question is individually indexed in one of more than 5,000 topics and six search fields: topic, question text, universe, date, polling organization and response categories. The subjects cover myriad issues such as gun control, abortion, government, political campaigns, women, race relations, the economy and children.
