Homecoming Scavenger Hunt to Be Hosted in Library

As part of Homecoming 2015 festivities, the Leslie F. Malpass Library will be hosting a scavenger hunt, open to all, from 4 to 5 PM on Friday, October 2nd. The hunt will begin in the Garden Lounge and participants will have the chance to win gifts cards totaling $100.

Just as “every road leads to Western,” in the library, every step will lead to Rocky. Rocky will be carefully hidden somewhere inside the library, and participants – individuals or groups of up to four – will decipher a series of clues in order to find him. The clues will test cleverness, knowledge of the library, and speed. The first person or team to find Rocky and have the most correct clues will win the prize, consisting of assorted gift cards worth $100 total. There will also be a social media component, so participants can flaunt their victory online.

“The University Libraries have something for everyone, and this scavenger hunt is part of that,” says Christina Norton, outreach librarian. “There is no cost to participate, and we look forward to helping everyone kick off the Homecoming weekend with something light-hearted and fun.”
