This day has been established to introduce the new winter annual crop Field Pennycress to local producers. Researchers along with industry representatives will be present to discuss this very unique short season crop. The weather has been unseasonably warm and flowering began the last week of March. Looks like harvest will occur in mid May.
The day is set up as a guided tour through the plots with plenty of time for pictures and individual questions. If you have any questions or would like to bring a large group,
please contact Dr. Win Phippen (309) 298-1251 for more details.
