Internship Scholarship Program

PURPOSE:

To give students from all majors the chance to obtain funding for an experiential learning opportunity that they wish to complete that is non-paying.

USE:

The funds awarded to the student must be used for living expenses (room and board, travel, etc.)

CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY:

Must be a currently enrolled WIU student (Undergraduate or Graduate) in good academic and disciplinary standing.

Must provide the CDC with the following:

  1. Letter of interest explaining their need for the internship
  2. Current resume
  3. Personal interview with the CDC professional staff
  4. Formal letter (on company letterhead) from the internship site verifying that the employer is offering the student an Unpaid Internship.
  5. Send in or drop off the written material to the CDC in 125 Memorial Hall (open 8AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday).
  6. After all materials are received, the student will be contacted for a personal interview. (Questions: 309-298-1838).

DEADLINE: Materials must be provided to the CDC by April 1st of each spring semester
