Become A Volunteer

Join us in creating quality audio programming for individuals who are print-impaired!

Tri-States Audio Information Services volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups. They are high school or college students, working individuals, and retirees. They read for various reasons, including to gain experience in broadcasting, to support individuals with disabilities in their communities, and to "pay it forward" for friends and family who have beneffited from our services.

Volunteers read printed materials including newspapers, magazines, and books to be broadcast for the visually impaired, either pre-recorded or live on the air.

Our volunteers primarily live in the McDonough County area and volunteer in our studios, though some remote opportunities are available.

Potential volunteers must complete an application. A brief audition also is required. For more information, call (309) 298-2403. Or get started by filling out the application below.
