The inauguration of Western Illinois University's 13th President, Dr. Kristi Mindrup, was held on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The investiture ceremony was held in COFAC Recital Hall.

Ice Cream Social

The day continued with an ice cream social reception with WIU students, featuring President Mindrup's favorite - Whitey's Ice Cream.

Community Reception

In the evening, the Macomb community came together to celebrate at Park Place. The night featured a proclamation from Mayor Mike Inman declaring October 16 "President Kristi Mindrup Day" and the presentation of the 2025 Town & Gown and Honorary Alumni Awards.
