Advising for Bachelor of Arts in General Studies (BGS) Degree Students

Each student in the BGS degree program is assigned an academic advisor. Students living in and around the Quad Cities are assigned an advisor based at the Quad Cities campus. All other students are assigned an advisor based at the Macomb campus.

BGS advisors focus their efforts on issues directly relating to the BGS degree and course selection. The advisor assists you in your efforts toward earning the BGS degree and helps you make decisions that are in your best interest. BGS advisors help students define educational objectives and provide resources necessary for effective decision making.
