| The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree is earned through the Department of Social Work and prepares students for entry-level, professional generalist social work practice. Many students also go on to graduate school to earn a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Social Work is to provide a high quality social work educational experience that serves a diverse population and contributesto the enhancement of social service delivery systems in the west central Illinois region and throughout the state with a faculty dedicated to excellence in teaching, to scholarly and professional activities, and to social and economic justice for all persons.
