Each summer and fall, WIU hosts a new faculty orientation program. This consists of both virtual sessions that begin in late summer, and Fall Connections Kickoff event that will take place during the week of August 16 this year. The full schedule will be posted above as sessions are confirmed. Registration links will also be included.

New faculty members are invited to continue learning about Western Illinois University, our students, staff, policies and processes as well as best practices in teaching, learning, research and service throughout the year. After the Fall Connections Kickoff is complete, a schedule of events will be posted above.

All required and encouraged trainings can be accessed under the New to WIU Tasks in the sidebar on the left side of this page.
