Dorothy Allen Scholarship
Criteria:
 Mathematics major

Elizabeth Glenadine Gibb Mathematics Scholarship
Criteria:
 Exemplify those personal traits which demonstrate potential for successful teaching. The high school senior who is applying must have two letters of recommendation in support of these qualities. One should be from a teacher of mathematics at their high school and one from the principal or counselor of the high school.

The applicant must meet one of the following:Have the teaching of mathematics as a career goal. In applying for the scholarship students will be asked to describe their goals including the personal reason(s) they see the teaching of mathematics as a career choice.
 Have an ACT composite score of at least 27 or equivalent
 Be in the upper ten percent of the high school class and have an ACT composite score of at least 22
 Have a 3.2 or above grade point average for all coursework at an accredited college or university

Award amount will be determined by the annual interest earnings on the endowment

What are the Criteria for Renewal?
 Maintain a fulltime undergraduate student status as a mathematics major at WU with the teaching of mathematics as a career goal
 Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 in all courses completed and at least a 3.0 in all mathematics courses taken in the first year. A 3.20 (overall and in mathematics) is required by the end of the second year and thereafter
Fred Rattner Memorial Mathematics Scholarship
Criteria:
 Mathematics major
 Enrolled fulltime
 If applicant is a new transfer or a current student, must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
 If applicant is an incoming freshman, must have an ACT score of 24 or higher or be in the upper ten percent of graduate class
 Preference will be given to an outstanding student as demonstrated through school activities and/or community service

H. Glenn Ayre Mathematics Award
Criteria:
 Juniors, seniors and graduate Mathematics majors
 Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA in all Mathematics courses and 3.0 or better in all other courses
 Two letters of recommendation
Terms:
Award amount varies depending on funding but will not exceed $1,000 per student. Number of recipients depends on funding. Award will be applied to the student's university account with half in the Fall semester and half in the Spring semester

Criteria:
 Mathematics major in pursuit of a degree in teaching mathematics at the secondary school level
 Junior class level

 Preference will be given to a student who completed high school in Macomb or West Central Illinois
 Demonstrate service or leadership in the field of mathematics or mathematics education

Mathematics Alumni Scholarship
Criteria:
 Freshmen must be recommended by two high school teachers addressing the student's interest in mathematics and potential to succeed in a career related to mathematics and must remain a math major for the period of the scholarship. Continuing students must be recommended by two faculty members addressing the student's interest in mathematics and potential to succeed in a career related to mathematics and must remain a math major for the period of the scholarship.
 Incoming freshman must have an ACT math score of at least 23 or be in the upper 25% on an equivalent national assessment of mathematics ability and must be in the upper 20% of the student's high school graduating class.
 Continuing students must have an overall college 3.0 GPA or higher. Students with less than 30 semester hours must submit a copy of their ACT or other standardized test scores. Students must also have a 3.0 GPA or higher in mathematics courses that count in the major (the number of mathematics courses completed will be one consideration).
 Transfer students must be transferring with mathematics as the intended major; must have an overall college 3.0 GPA and students with less than 30 semester hours must submit a copy of their ACT or other standardized test scores. Criteria:
 Incoming freshman
 Receiving a freshman department scholarship or has an excellent Math ACT score and does not meet the criteria for another department scholarship

Criteria:
 Mathematics or Theatre major
 Have attended WIU at least two semesters. Can apply during second semester or later
 Demonstrated financial need

GPA is not considered when selecting a recipient
Terms:
The award amount will be determined by the annual interest earnings on the endowment. This scholarship will be awarded alternative years with the Department of Theatre and Dance until the Foundation determines the interest earnings are sufficient to make two awards in one year.

Criteria:
 The primary recipient of this scholarship will be a Mathematics major in good standing with an overall major GPA of 3.0 or higher
 Preference will be given to students who are female, who have financial need and an expressed desire to complete their degree in Mathematics
 Preference will be given to a student who is at least junior class status
 Students must complete an application
