Facts & Figures

Scholarship Student. An ever-increasing number of donors support deserving students each year through the Western Illinois University Scholarship Program, and their gifts make a difference in the lives of thousands of students. In fiscal year 2007, the WIU Foundation Scholarship Program distributed over 2.4 million in financial support to over 3500 students.

The WIU Foundation Scholarship Program has grown to over 500 named scholarships that are awarded to deserving students on an annual basis. Generous individuals or their heirs who have chosen to perpetuate their families' names and values by establishing a scholarship have laid the groundwork for what the Foundation Scholarship Program has become today; one of the finest regional university scholarship programs in the Midwest.

A contribution of $25,000 perpetually funds an endowed scholarship and can be accomplished over a period of time, and annual scholarships can be established through a minimum contribution of $500 a year. As a special tribute, each fall scholarship recipients and donors are recognized at the Annual Scholarship Recognition Ceremonies.
