WIU's annual Brassfest 2009 will feature "Brian Frederiksen, Bruce Nelson, and Luis Loubriel" on Sunday, January 25, 2009.
Brassfest is a daylong festival, featuring performances, clinics, a buffet dinner, and an opportunity to play in the Festival Brass Choir during the evening concert.

- Congratulations to graduate student Diana Miller for winning both the Illinois MTNA Young Artist Brass Competition and the Western Illinois University Concerto Competition. Diana will compete in the MTNA East Central Division Contest in January and perform the Tartini Trumpet Concerto in D Major on February 29.
