Facilities Focal Point
Congratulations to Tammy Klinedinst, Supervisor of Building Services here at Facilities Management for being the recipient of the Fall 2016 Facilities Focal Point quarterly recognition award.
Tammy started at Western Illinois University in May of 2004 as an extra help clerk at Facilities Management. She enrolled in the Learner/Trainee program in 2004 and became a BSW in August of that year. In May of 2011 she was promoted to foreman and she has held her current position since April of 2015.
Tammy was born in Macomb, went to school in Colchester, and currently lives in Bushnell with her husband, Kevin.
Her hobbies include scuba diving, golfing and taking trips on the motorcycle with her husband to find new places to eat and enjoy the scenery.
When asked about her goals and where she sees herself in the future Tammy said she would like to move up in Building Services in the 18 years she hopes to work here at Western Illinois University. She also hopes to get her Bachelor of Arts in General Studies degree as well. Tammy says the best part of her job is talking to people from all over campus and taking care of their problems for them. “I like the team-work aspect of our department - it takes a village to get things done.”
