Dr. Tiwari specializes in applied microeconomics, with a specific focus on development, health, and public policy. Her current research utilizes various econometric techniques to investigate policies and interventions aimed at enhancing health and labor market outcomes for women and children.

In addition to her research activities, she is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Previously, she has taught introductory courses in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, as well as upper-level courses in Economic Development. Currently, she is teaching graduate-level Mathematical Economics and undergraduate-level Business Statistics and Forecasting. She is a member of the Behavioral Economics and Organization research Group (BEORG).
