The WIU Bilingual Early Learning & Family Center opened its doors in July 2025. We are fully operational with a caring staff who is eager to provide the best care, and we look forward to providing a system of support for families and children in the community! We offer a Spanish Dual Language Curriculum, with a majority of our staff being bilingual in Spanish-speaking languages. We value our native Spanish-speaking families and hope to provide a culturally and linguistically appropriate learning environment. This center is a not-for-profit program, and every dollar goes back into our center to support better classrooms, learning activities, and to provide a safe space for young children. We work with organizations such as Preschool for All (PFA), Head Start, Early Head Start, and the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), which all help provide low-income families access to the quality care every child deserves.

Opening and Enrollment

Our Early Learning Center is enrolling children from 15 months to 5 years of age. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with hopes to expand within the next year. Our staff are here to help you through the registration process, providing guidance and resources. We work with various organizations that also want to ensure your child is getting the best quality of care and education. It is encouraged that families tour our center before admission. Enrollment is open to everyone, with priority enrollment for those who meet the criteria, in no particular order: students from bilingual homes, Moline residents, and families who identify as low-income households. We hope to provide a bilingual education at an affordable rate for the community!
