General Information
Age
- All participants must be 50 years or older as of 12-31-25 to qualify for the Senior National Games.
- Please be prepared to show proof of age at your first event. (i.e. driver’s license, state ID, etc.).
- There will be separate categories for men and women in five-year age groups, as follows: 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89; 90-94; 95-99; 100+.
Entries
- THE FINAL DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES AND, SHIRT ORDERS IS FRIDAY, APRIL 10, 2026.

- Your games information packet will be distributed at your first event.
- Events that can accept only limited participation will be filled by order of entry.
Entry and Special Fees
- The entry fee is $3 for one event, $6 for two events, or $8 if you enter three or more events.
- Participants may purchase a T-shirt for $15.00. Shirts are 50% cotton/50% polyester in sizes from S to XL. (Please add $1.50 for an XXL shirt or $2.50 for XXXL.)
Shirt orders must be received by Friday, April 10. - A special fee will be assessed and paid at the time of the event for those participating in:
- Bowling (3 games) $ 5.00 (shoes $1.00)

Golf (9 or 18-holes and shared cart) $30.00 green fees

Please note, golf will start at 8 AM on Friday morning. We will be using a shotgun start. Rain date, Fri., May 1.
With Registration Fees
All participants, registered for at least one event, will receive a commemorative medal (with the new Games logo) and be able to attend the Friday night social, free of charge. We hope you choose to build connections off the field. We are excited to offer participants the opportunity to gather, socialize, and share their unique journeys with one another. The social will be held on Friday, April 24th at 6 PM. Food and entertainment is included.
There will be an opening ceremony on Saturday, April 25th at 8 AM, South of the Student Recreation Center. We wish to welcome all participants. Light refreshments will be provided.
Awards
Ribbons will be awarded immediately following the completion of an event to participants (male/female) who finish in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age category. Any ribbons not picked up at the event can be picked up in Brophy Hall 221A the following week.
Equipment
Athletes must provide their own athletic and safety equipment, which must meet NSGA standards. WISO has a limited supply of equipment for certain events such as shot put, discus, javelin, and disc golf.
Parking Information:
Park in the non-metered area east of the Student Recreation Center (lot CB) any time after 12 PM on Friday or any time during the day on Saturday. Parking for disc golf will be east of Sherman Hall.
Cancellations
- Senior Games officials reserve the right to cancel any event due to insufficient registration, inclement weather, or dangerous conditions.
- Some events may be canceled/postponed by the event chair in the case of inclement weather.
- The rain date for Golf is Friday, May 1st at 9:00 AM. Some Track and Field events may be moved indoors to Western Hall in case of inclement weather. The rescheduling of events will be determined the day of the event and emailed to all participants.
- If an event is canceled due to insufficient registration, every effort will be made to contact participants prior to the start of the Games. If none of the events you signed up for occur, a refund can be issued upon request.
Meals
Food may be purchased in the WIU University Union (Qdoba, Chick-fil-a, coffee shop) until 5:30 pm on Friday and is closed on Saturday. Other fast food and sit-down restaurants can be found around town such as Subway, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, McAlister’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Chick’s on the Square, etc. For a more complete list of restaurants, please go to the following link, https://www.visitforgottonia.com/restaurants/.
Housing
Housing arrangements can be made directly with the hotel, motel, etc.
Camper facilities are available at Spring Lake on a first-come, first-serve basis or at Argyle Lake State Park with a reservation (309-776-3422). Both sites have 20-30amp hookups, shower houses, and host campers as well as boat rentals, bike and hiking trails, etc.
