Talent Service Awards

"Talent Service Awards," more commonly known as "Talent Grants," are the largest source of scholarship available from the WIU School of Music and are awarded based on audition.

Undergraduate students who receive a Talent Grant award sign a contract guaranteeing their awarded amount of scholarship for 8 contiguous semesters, contingent upon the students' performance in two WIU School of Music performing ensembles assigned by the Talent Grant committee, and the maintenance of a 3.0 GPA as a full-time student in good academic standing.

Concert Band
Marching Band
Jazz Studio Orchestra
Jazz Band
Symphony Orchestra

Strings

Symphony Orchestra
Chamber Orchestra

Voice

University Singers
Chamber Singers
Opera Workshop
Concert Choir

Keyboard

Pianists will accompany ensembles, recitals, and/or studios.
Assignments are made by the accompanying coordinator.
