Interdisciplinary Studies Degree Program Advisory Committee

Meetings: At least one per semester; most business conducted over email/campus mail and involves reading 5-10 application packets and student essays per semester and voting on admission into the program.

Duties: The Committee assists the Coordinator in:

  • Periodically reviewing program operation, admission/graduation data, requirements, etc.;
  • Determining the need for changes in curriculum requirements;
  • Selecting departmental scholars;
  • Reviewing application appeals of students with more than 75 s.h. of credit, to determine if Interdisciplinary Studies is an appropriate program choice.
