WIU Open Access Task Force to Present Findings

  • What influences the choice between an open access or a traditional publication medium?
  • What issues might be involved with an open access policy related to scholarly publications or products?
  • What issues are involved with a possible university repository for open access publications?

 

The WIU Open Access Task Force will hold three open forums to present their findings to the University community. Open Forums will be held in the Union Capitol Room, with a connection to the QC Campus on the following dates:

The Open Access Task Force was mandated by Illinois Public Act 98-0295, the Open Access to Research Articles Act. The draft report of the Task Force and a proposed Open Access Policy for WIU are available on the Task Force website:http://wiu.libguides.com/OAWIU. All WIU faculty and staff are invited to attend and provide feedback on the draft Report and Policy developed by the Task Force.
