SFC Lewellen, Ronnie is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in August of 2008. He attended the School of Infantry West and was awarded the MOS of 0311 (Infantryman). Upon completion of SOI, he was assigned to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC from 2009-2012. During his time with 2nd LAR, he completed one Combat Deployment to Afghanistan in 2011 and shortly after return from Afghanistan, he exited service from the Marine Corps. In 2014 SFC Lewellen entered the United States Army and was awarded the MOS 11B upon completion of OSUT at Fort Benning, GA. and begin his Army career. His military education includes, Survival Evasion Resistance Escape Course, Combat Advisor Training Course, Drill Sergeant Academy, Master Fitness Trainer Course, Marksmanship Master Trainer Course, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, Airborne School, Senior Leader Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Basic Leaders Course, Army Basic Instructor Course.
SFC Lewellen’s previous assignments and duties include Advise and Train NCOIC, 1st SFAB, Fort Benning, GA. Senior Drill Sergeant, 2-60th IN Regiment, Fort Jackson, SC. Rifle Platoon Sergeant and Rifle Squad Leader, 1-64 AR, 1st BDE, Fort Stewart, GA. Heavy Weapons Platoon Sergeant, Section Sergeant, Rifle Team Leader, 2-503rd IN(A), 173rd. Rifle Team Leader, 2nd LAR, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC. Additionally, SFC Lewellen has one combat deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and multiple rotations to various theatres including, Turkey, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Panama, and Brazil.
