MCC Scheduling Guidelines and Policies
- If space is being requested for use after business hours, a responsible graduate assistant, organization advisor or professional staff member must check out the MCC key at the Office Public Safety in Mowbry Hall and must be in attendance at all times. Must state the person's name on request form.
- Requests must be submitted at least 5 business days before the date of the event.
- The person submitting the request will receive a response within 3 business days of the date of submission.
- If there are questions or concerns about the request or the decision, please email: mcc@wiu.edu.
Use of Space & Equipment
- The Multicultural Center does not have staff available to set-up or take-down furniture.
- Tables & chairs in the Multipurpose Room may be moved. However, it must be moved back to the original layout at the end of the event.
- Large amounts of trash must be taken to the dumpsters in the parking lot between the MCC and Seal Hall.
- A projector screen is available in the Dance Studio and Boardroom.
- One media cart is available, it includes projector, microphone, speaker and DVD player. You must provide a computer. Set up is your responsibility, no tech service is available.
- There are 4 functioning Centers in the MCC and people come and go throughout the building throughout the business day. Due to the acoustics in the building, noise travels, so if you require a quiet space for your event, then reserving the Dance Studio and/or the Multipurpose Room may not be a good option for your event.
