Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-01-13 to 2012-01-17

On Jan. 15 at 11:27 a.m. the Macomb Fire Department responded to an active Fire Alarm in the basement of Bayliss-Henninger halls. Cooking pancakes caused smoke, which set the smoke detector off and activated the fire alarm. The fire department ventilated the area. There was no damage and no injuries.

On Jan. 15 at 7:51 p.m. a student reported the theft of a laptop computer, valued at $400, from her locked Tanner Hall room over the winter break. The theft is under investigation.

On Jan. 15 at 8:17 p.m. Mason M. Karr, 18, of 1403 Thompson Hall, was given a notice to appear in court on Feb. 21 on a Macomb city ordinance violation for possession for cannabis.
