On Feb 1. at 5:01 p.m. a fire alarm was activated in Higgins Hall. The Macomb Fire Department responded, and hot grease in the kitchen was found to be the cause. There was no fire and no injuries were reported.
On Feb 2. at 2:09 a.m. a fire alarm was activated in Tanner Hall. The Macomb Fire Department responded and determined a pull station had been activated. There was no fire and no injuries were reported.
On Feb. 2 at 2:09 a.m. Jameisha K. Darnell, 18, and Tiona M. McMahon, 19, both of Tanner Hall 828, each were given a notice to appear March 6 on a Macomb city ordinance violation for failure to evacuate after a fire alarm in Tanner Hall.
On Feb. 2 at 2:17 a.m. Egan P. Malley, 18, Thompson Hall 1002, was given a notice to appear March 6 on a Macomb city ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and a Macomb city ordinance violation for possession of false identification. Robert W. Price, 18, Thompson Hall 1012, was given a notice to appear March 6 on a Macomb city ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, a Macomb city ordinance violation for possession of false identification and a Macomb city ordinance violation for possession of drug paraphernalia. Derik R. Poshard, 19, Thompson Hall 1019, was given a notice to appear March 6 on a Macomb city ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
On Feb. 2 at 6:25 p.m. a student reported that four textbooks were stolen from her unlocked residence hall room. Value of the textbooks was placed at $298. The incident is under investigation.
On Feb. 2 at 9:23 p.m. two individuals reported that valuables, an Apple iPhone valued at $250 and $40 cash, were stolen from a Western Hall locker room. The incident is under investigation.
On Feb. 3 at 12:28 a.m. Matthew A. Greenlee, 22, Higgins Hall 527, was given a state notice to appear Feb. 27 for retail theft under $300 for allegedly not paying for a container of popcorn chicken in the West Dining Center.
On Feb. 3 at 3:05 a.m. Garon W. Hock, 19, Bayliss Hall 1420; Seth C. Heller, 20, Bayliss Hall 1413; and Nicholas J. Tresp, 20, Bayliss Hall 1419, were each given a notice to appear March 13 on a Macomb city ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
