On Feb. 6 at 7:28 a.m. campus police responded to the 11th floor of Tanner Hall for a report of items burned and charred in the 11th floor hall oven. The incident is under investigation.
On Feb. 6 at 7:12 p.m. nonstudent Jennifer A. Smalley, 22, of Paw Paw (IL), was issued two Macomb city ordinance tickets for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Michael P. Smith, 22, of 1002 Higgins Hall, was issued a Macomb city ordinance ticket for possession of cannabis in Higgins Hall. Court dates are set for March 20. A third student received a judicial referral for drugs.
On Feb. 6 at 10:58 p.m. a student from Tanner Hall was issued a judicial referral for suspicion of cannabis
On Feb. 6 at 11:10 p.m. a student reported being harassed by text message by a person known to her.
On Feb. 7 at 11:17 a.m. a fire alarm was reported in the DPS building. The Macomb Fire Department responded and it was determined a smoke detector was set off by painters working in the building. There was no fire and no injuries were reported.
On Feb. 7 at 8:13 p.m. two students from Tanner Hall were issued judicial referrals for disorderly conduct. The two allegedly failed to comply with instructions from a resident assistant.
