Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-02-08 to 2012-02-10

On Feb. 8 at 2:19 p.m. a student reported that her backpack, containing $13 cash, a calculator and headphones, was stolen from a desk in the Malpass Library. The theft is under investigation.

On Feb. 8 at 8:54 p.m. nonstudent Darryl Calhoun, 20 of Bolingbrook (IL), was arrested near the Clay and Adams street bus stop for theft theft under $500 (in reference to Feb. 8 theft report from Malpass Library) and possession of cannabis (less than 2.5 grams). He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Feb. 8 at 10:07 p.m. one student in Tanner Hall was judicially referred for possession of cannabis.

On Feb. 9 at 7:51 a.m. a student in Waggoner Hall was judicially referred for disorderly conduct after he allegedly shot a Nerf-style dart gun at a faculty member.

On Feb. 9 at 2:11 p.m. a student at the Donald S. Spencer Student Recreation Center reported that he was struck by person known to him. The incident is under investigation.

On Feb. 9 at 5:39 p.m. Ryan Demming, 20, of 201 Wigwam Hollow Road, Apt. 1010, was arrested at the Donald S. Spencer Student Recreation Center for battery in reference to an alleged incident earlier at the center. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Feb. 9 at 6:06 p.m. Kenneth Berke, 20, of 1606 Higgins Hall, was arrested in Higgins for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.
