Western Illinois University Office of Public Safety

On March 14 at 10:20 a.m. a student reported that his backpack had been stolen March 8 from the Leslie F. Malpass Library. The estimated value was $108. The incident is under investigation.

On March 15 at 8:09 a.m. the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the basement mechanical room of Thompson Hall. It was determined the alarm had been set off by welders. There was no fire and no reported injuries.
