Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-03-26 to 2012-03-28

On March 26 at 2:10 p.m. a student reported being physically and verbally harassed by a person known to her. The incident is under investigation.

On March 26 at 4:10 p.m. two students in East Village received judicial referrals for drug violations (possession of a marijuana plant).

On March 26 at 6:10 p.m. a student reported the theft of his sunglasses, valued at $240, from the Harry Mussatto Golf Course. The theft is under investigation.

On March 27 at 4:34 p.m. a student reported being harassed via text by a person known to her. The incident is under investigation.

On March 27 at 4:46 p.m. a student in Thompson Hall was issued a judicial referral for disorderly conduct.

On March 27 at 7:28 p.m. Patrick F. Keane, 19, of 804 Henninger Hall, was arrested in Henninger for battery and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On March 27 at 11:38 p.m. Bradley Ray Will, 19, of 1703 Higgins Hall, was arrested in Higgins for possession of a controlled substance (Focalin XR) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail. One student was issued a judicial referral for suspicion of cannabis.

On March 28 at 3:34 a.m. Scott A. Covey, 22, of 420 W. Elting Street, Apt. 6, was given a notice to appear May 1 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for open alcohol in public at Hanson Field. One student was judicially referred for alcohol and another student was judicially referred for behavior.

On March 28 at 4:19 a.m. officers responded to the East Village parking lot and a fire in a trash can as well as phone books burning on the ground beside the trash can. The Macomb Fire Department extinguished the fires. There were no injuries.
