Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-04-25 to 2012-04-27

On April 25 at 12:35 p.m. criminal defacement of government property was discovered near the north side of Malpass Library and University Union, where the Centennial Honors College sign, one of the billboards near the kiosk and the kiosk in the commons area had been painted. The estimate to clean the areas was $300. The incidents are under investigation.

On April 26 at 12:14 p.m. it was reported that a light pole fell on a car in Q-Lot and landed across the roof of the car, causing the front windshield and rear window glass to shatter. (No estimate of damage was given.)

On April 26 at 3 p.m. a student reported the unauthorized use of his WIU Rocky Dollar account, totaling $1.25, in a Tanner Hall vending machine. Value of stolen/lost property is $26.25 ($25 fee to replace WIU ID card). The theft is under investigation.

On April 26 at 4:22 p.m. a student reported being harassed by phone and text messages by an individual known to him. The incident is under investigation.

On April 26 at 5:55 p.m. a student reported his wallet was stolen from his Higgins Hall room. Value of the stolen wallet and items in it was $395. The burglary is under investigation.
