Campus Crime Reports

Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-07-16 to 2012-07-18

On July 17 at 3:45 p.m. OPS officers responded to a reported fire on the basement floor of the University Union (west mechanical room). A WIU employee reported he had used a fire extinguisher to extinguish flames around the bottom portion of a hydraulic elevator pumping unit. The Macomb Fire Department also responded. The pumping unit and the concrete floor around it sustained damage, but an estimate was not available. There were no reported injuries.
