Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-09-17 to 2012-09-19

On Sept. 17 at 12:49 p.m. a female student reported that she had been sexually assaulted Friday night by a male known to her. The incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 17 at 1:38 p.m. Tiona M. McMahon, 19, of 1103 Lincoln Hall, was issued a notice to appear in court Oct. 23 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of cannabis at East Village.

On Sept. 17 at 8:35 p.m. Kenneth Simpson, 18, of 816 Tanner Hall, was issued a notice to appear in court Oct. 23 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Sept. 18 at 12:20 p.m. a student reported her identification card was missing and an unspecified amount of charges had been made. The incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 18 at 12:41 p.m., a female student reported being harassed by someone known to her. The incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 18 at 2:29 a.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Thompson Hall. There was no fire and no reported injuries.

On Sept. 18 at 5:15 p.m. a student reported her watch, valued at $300, was stolen from a bathroom in Simpkins Hall. The theft is under investigation.

On Sept. 18 at 7:56 p.m. a student reported that her car, which had been parked in Q-Lot, had been scratched. Damage was estimated at $700. The incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 18 at 10:56 p.m. Monte Murphy, 25, of 1215 Henninger Hall, was arrested for battery after allegedly pushing a housing employee in Henninger Hall. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Sept. 19 at 1:23 a.m. non-student Alexandra Lamar, 24, of Bloomingdale was arrested on Charles Street for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was lodged in the McDonough County Jail. At the same time, Alec Spencer, 23, of 700 Linden Lane, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.
