Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-09-21 to 2012-09-24

On Sept. 21 at 5:23 p.m. a student reported that $15 cash was stolen from her Corbin Hall room. The money was later returned.

On Sept. 21 at 8:03 p.m. nonstudents Eugene Holmes, 20, of and Darrin Payton, 20, both of Blue Island, were each issued a notice to appear Oct. 30 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of cannabis (less than 10 grams) in Lincoln Hall.

On Sept. 21 at 8:35 p.m. Christopher Manning, 21, of 222 Corbin Hall, was issued a notice to appear Oct. 24 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal transportation of alcohol in the 900 block of North Albert Street.

On Sept. 22 at 12:48 a.m. a student reported that he was struck in the face by a person unknown to him while riding a Go West bus. The incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 22 at 3:11 a.m. Andrew Knutson, 20, of 605 Lincoln Hall, was issued a notice to appear Oct. 30 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor near Tillman Hall.

On Sept. 22 at 9:32 a.m. a student reported that his motorcycle was kicked over and damaged while parked in the Corbin Hall lot. Damage was estimated at $2,000. The incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 22 at 1:09 p.m. nonstudent Bradley Spicer, 19, of Justice, was issued a notice to appear Oct. 30 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Q-Lot.

On Sept. 22 at 1:38 p.m. one student was judicially referred for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Q-Lot.

On Sept. 22 at 3:53 p.m. it was reported that someone had damaged window trim in the recreation center by kicking a soccer ball into the window. The incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 22 at 5:47 p.m. Cody Degroot, 19, of Winchester, was issued a notice to appear Oct. 29 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Q-Lot.

On Sept. 23 at 1:28 a.m. Janna Hunter, 19, of 1109 Lincoln Hall, was arrested on a McDonough County warrant for failure to appear. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail.

On Sept. 23 at 3:01 a.m. Christopher Werderman,19, of 424 Olson Hall, was issued a notice to appear Oct. 23 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in the 600 block of West Adams Street.

On Sept. 23 at 10:51 a.m. four individuals reported that their vehicles were egged while parked in L-Lot. Damage estimates were not provided.


On Sept. 23 at 4:38 p.m. a student reported that a blanket, valued at $25, had been stolen from the sixth floor tanner hall lounge.

On Sept. 23 at 5:52 p.m. a student in Washington Hall reported that her iPad, valued at $800, had been stolen from her unlocked residence hall room. The theft is under investigation.

On Sept. 23 at 10:10 p.m. Edgar Ortiz, 19, of 523 Olson Hall, was arrested in Olson for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a fraudulent I.D. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.
