Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-10-17 to 2012-10-19

On Oct. 17 at 11:40 a.m., Ladarius Honorable, 19, was arrested in Mowbray Hall for domestic battery for an incident that occurred in a Knoblauch Hall office earlier in the day. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Oct. 18 at 3:03 p.m., an employee reported four drum cymbals, valued at $1,300, stolen from a first floor closet in the Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center. The theft is under investigation.

On Oct. 17 at 4:23 p.m., OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the Corbin/Olson dining area. No fire was found and no injuries were reported.

On Oct. 18 at 8:30 a.m., Demetrius Simpson, 21, of Chicago, was arrested in Henninger Hall for criminal trespass to campus and on two McDonough County warrants for failure to appear in court on previous cases. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Oct. 18 at 2:45 p.m., a student reported a theft of a bicycle, valued at $200, from the Corbin/Olson dining area. The theft is under investigation.

On Oct. 18 at 3:49 p.m., Murlena Williams, 19, of 714 Henninger Hall, was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Oct. 18 at 10:03 p.m., OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the 20th floor on Higgins Hall. There was no fire found and no injuries were reported.

On Oct. 18 at 10:19 p.m., seven students in Tanner Hall were issued judicial referrals for suspicion on cannabis. Officers returned about two hours later for a complaint of the odor of cannabis and two of the same students were issued second referrals for suspicion of cannabis.

On Oct. 18 at 10:38 p.m., an iPod and a laptop computer (no value given) were reported stolen from an unlocked Higgins Hall room. The theft is under investigation.

On Oct. 19 at 1:13 a.m., an Apple Macbook Pro computer (no value given) was reported stolen from a Higgins Hall room during a fire alarm. The theft is under investigation.

On Oct. 19 at 2:45 a.m.. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Higgins Hall. No fire was found and no injuries were reported.
