Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-10-26 to 2012-10-29

On Oct. 26 at 3:45 p.m. a student reported that the rear window on his vehicle was shattered while parked in Q-Lot. Damage was estimated at $500. The incident is under investigation.

On Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. a student reported that a video game, valued at $60, had been stolen from his Tanner Hall room. The theft is under investigation.

On Oct. 26 at 5:18 p.m. Jasmine Meekins, 19, of 500 Higgins Hall, was issued a notice to appear Nov. 27 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of cannabis (less than 10 grams) in Higgins.

On Oct. 26 at 9:16 p.m. Grant Edwards, 24, of 208 Henninger Hall, was issued a notice to appear Nov. 27 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for open alcohol in public near Tanner Hall.

On Oct. 26 at 9:27 p.m. a University employee reported that graffiti had been spray painted on the sidewalk near the north entrance of Hanson Field. Estimated cost for the clean up was placed at $20.

On Oct. 26 at 10 p.m. Miranda Gron, 18, of 1526 Higgins Hall, Kalyn Young, 18, of 1530 Higgins, Devon Dwyer, 18, of 701 Higgins Hall, Jennifer Crane, 18, of 1526 Higgins, Kathleen Jarrell, 18, of 1517 Higgins, nonstudent Roy Burlew, 19, of Lake Forest, Alyssa Brust, 18, of 1515 Higgins, Anne McQuillan, 18, of 1517 Higgins, Kristina Johnson, 18, of 1514 Higgins, Brad Uher, 18, of 701 Higgins, Tobias Williams, 18, of 421 Higgins, and Edward Atkinson, 18, of 902 Higgins, were each issued a notice to appear Dec. 4 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Higgins.

On Oct. 26 at 10:56 p.m. one student in Higgins Hall was judicially referred for possession of cannabis.

On Oct. 26 at 11:17 p.m. nonstudent Anthony Pilolla, 21, of River Grove, was issued a notice to appear Dec. 4 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for open alcohol in public near Pierce and Charles streets.

On Oct. 27 at 12:08 a.m. nonstudent Jonathan Hedrick, 20, of Elburn, and Angela Parillo, 19, of 640 Corbin Hall, were each issued a notice to appear Dec. 4 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor near Charles and Adams streets. Nonstudent Grant Harbecke, 21, of Dekalb, was issued a notice to appear Dec. 4 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for open alcohol in public.

On Oct. 27 at 12:30 a.m. nonstudent Kristin Spiegel, 20, of Galva, was issued a notice to appear Dec. 4 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor near Adams and Charles streets. Nonstudent Justin Karnes, 25, of Carbondale, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Oct. 27 at 2:15 a.m. Dennis Walega, 18, of 1401 Tanner Hall, was issued a notice to appear Dec. 4 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Q-Lot.

On Oct. 27 at 2:17 a.m. one student in Tanner Hall was judicially referred for disorderly conduct.

On Oct. 27 at 5:57 p.m. one student in Tanner Hall was judicially referred for behavior.

On Oct. 27 at 6:32 p.m. one student in Lincoln Hall was judicially referred for possession on cannabis.

On Oct. 27 at 8:52 p.m. a housing employee reported that five toilet dispenser covers in the seventh floor Olson Hall bathroom had been torn off and a paper towel dispenser had been torn off the wall. Damage was estimated at $180.

On Oct. 27 at 3:02 p.m. a student reported the theft of a backpack, containing a laptop and four textbooks, from outside of Tanner Hall. Estimated value of the items was placed at $550. The theft is under investigation.

On Oct. 28 at 3:39 a.m. nonstudent Daniel Crew, 21, of Moline, was arrested for possession of cannabis, possession of a controlled substance (Lorazepam) and possession of drug paraphernalia in Q-Lot. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Oct. 28 at 11:12 a.m. Timothy Cardona, 20, of 617 Olson Hall, was arrested at Mowbray Hall for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and criminal damage under $300 (in connection to the Olson Hall bathroom damage Oct. 27). He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Oct. 28 at 6:08 p.m. a housing employee in Bayliss Hall reported that someone had shattered the glass on the 10th floor fire alarm pull station. Damage was estimated at $40. The incident is under investigation.

On Oct. 28 at 6:45 p.m. a student in Higgins Hall reported that she dropped her phone on the 15th floor of Higgins and when she returned, the phone, valued at $50, was no longer there. The incident is under investigation.
