Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-10-31 to 2012-11-02
On Oct. 31 at 8 a.m. a University employee reported two carpet runners, valued at $100 each, missing from Corbin/Olson. The theft is under investigation.
On Oct. 31 at 5:11 p.m. Deyoun Mables, 20, of Chicago, was arrested for trespass to WIU property at the intersection of Murray Street and University Drive. Mables was transported to McDonough County Jail where he was lodged at 6:49 p.m. pending bond.
On Oct. 31 at 8:43 p.m. a student reported his iPhone, valued at $400, stolen from the 14th floor of Tanner Hall. The theft is under investigation.
On. Nov. 1 at 12:15 a.m. a car fire was reported in Tanner Circle. The fire was extinguished by the Macomb Fire Department and the vehicle was towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported.
On Nov. 1 at 10:54 a.m. Wilber Cox, 30, of 511 W. Pierce St, #203, was arrested on a warrant for domestic battery. Cox was transported to McDonough County Jail where he was lodged at 11:19 p.m. pending bond.
On Nov. 1 at 6:11 p.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the 15th floor of Tanner Hall. The alarm was found to have been caused by cooking food. There was not a fire and there were no injuries reported.
On Nov. 1 at 7:45 p.m. four students were issued judicial referrals for cannabis on the north end of Hanson Field.
On Nov. 1 at 9:24 p.m. Tyre L. Taylor, 19, of Chicago, was issued a Macomb City notice to appear in court Dec. 11 for disorderly conduct after he allegedly yelled obscenities at patrons and an employee in the Tanner Hall C-Store.
On Nov. 1 at 10:51 p.m., OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the 14th floor of Tanner Hall. The alarm was found to have been caused by cooking food. There was not a fire and there were no injuries reported.
On Nov. 2 at 1:36 a.m., Andrew Doonan, 23, of 611 Henninger Hall, was arrested in Q-Lot for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.
