Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-11-09 to 2012-11-12

On Nov. 9 at 4:17 p.m. Ashley Anderson, 20, of 1314 Henninger Hall, was arrested on a McDonough County warrant for failure to appear. She was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

On Nov. 9 at 7:57 p.m. a student in Higgins Hall reported that a laptop, valued at $350, was stolen from his residence hall room. The theft is under investigation.

On Nov. 9 at 8:39 p.m. Andrew Ramirez, 19, of 519 Tanner Hall, and nonstudent Nicholas Contreras, 19, of Chicago, were each issued a notice to appear Dec. 11 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Tanner Hall.

On Nov. 9 at 9:33 p.m. a student near Sherman Drive was judicially referred for behavior (false activation of emergency light).

On Nov. 9 at 10 p.m. Justin Hansen, 19, of 915 Washington Hall, and Robert St. Mary, 18, of 1541 Higgins Hall, were each issued a notice to appear Dec. 11 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in L-Lot.

On Nov. 9 at 9:57 p.m. a University employee reported that toilet paper had been stolen from the third floor Currens Hall men's restroom. A value estimate was not available.

On Nov. 9 at 11:31 p.m. three students in Q-Lot were judicially referred for possession of cannabis.

On Nov. 10 at 1:24 a.m. Tyub Ali, 19, of 1537 W. Jackson St., was issued a notice to appear Jan. 8 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of a false ID in L-Lot.

On Nov. 10 at 12:03 p.m. a student in Higgins Hall reported that a laptop, valued at $800, was stolen from his residence hall room. The theft is under investigation.

On Nov. 10 at 12:36 p.m. a student reported that someone had entered her locked vehicle in the Currens Hall lot and stolen a phone charger and a GPS device. The estimated value of the stolen items was placed at $225. The theft is under investigation.

On Nov. 11 at 3:24 a.m. one student in the 500 block of West Adams was judicially referred for fighting.

On Nov. 11 at 1:29 p.m. Derice Black, 18, of 1506 Tanner Hall, was issued a notice to appear Jan. 8 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for obstructing/interfering with a police officer in Tanner Hall.

On Nov. 11 at 2:50 p.m. a student reported that his credit card had been used at various Macomb businesses, with charges totaling $1,574.67, after losing the card Nov. 9. The theft is under investigation.
